Amazing work! The cool thing is that the picture will change over time.
It would be cool to see a time lapse video – one photo per day over the course of a year.
Thanks for sharing.

I love the way your ‘vertical gardens’ look – but I’d like to know how sustainable they are …
what happens when these succulents grow, as they will, and when gravity pulls on them, as it will … do you change them out? Or do you allow for them to do what they do?
Do you have any examples of older ‘vertical gardens’? what is the program for their care?
I know these are really boring questions, but at a time when everyone is concerned with sustainability, I find it odd to be doing work like this – it is SO pretty, SO seductive – but it’s basically a hotel thing, right? Or is there a way to do this w/o changing out plants as they grow or die?
Thanks for the eye candy!

Terrific work! I love to see plants used “as art” and in unusual textural ways.

Agree. they are beautiful in pattern, color and texture. i wonder how well they last over time. my succulent mini-gardens in pots seem to overgrow easily and this one is vertical! how best to take care of them – replace when a plant gets too big for its allotted space? Still – very beautiful and inspiring…

Hey, if I would want to keep such a living picture inside, how would I have to water it? It is beautiful!

these vertical gardens are just one of the most eye catching things i have ever seen….. coveting greatly, any chance they would survive a catskills existence?

how are they watered?

This is the most innovative use of succulents since the 70’s! My husband usually recoils at the sight/mention of our fleshly plant friends, but he managed to look at this one sans hands over his eyes…….(a compliment, believe me!)

I wonder what growing medium was used? Was it soil or felt maybe?

Your vertical gardens are more inspiring everytime you create a new one. The driftwood type of frame really works with the succulent choices in this piece. I wish I were a fly on the wall when you put them together. Bravo!
