Living Succulent Ornaments – How to Enjoy & Grow
We invented a living succulent Christmas ornament – a new way to share the beauty of the garden! The ornament comprises a jewelry-quality hook with mounting pin and a succulent plant cutting. The living succulent cuttings don’t mind hanging around indoors for the holidays while making your tree look gorgeous.
When the season is over, the cuttings can be planted in a pot for the gardener to enjoy forever. Available at the store and in our Web Shop.
ABOVE: What a beautiful gift – and the hook that holds the succulent is handmade in a San Francisco jewelry studio.
ABOVE: The intimate geometry and rich hues of this crassula look lovely on the tree, and can be rooted in a pot to grow on a windowsill the rest of the year. Succulent cuttings remain vibrant for months.
How to plant your Succulent Ornament:
When it’s finished adorning the tree, pull the cutting from the hook and then press it gently into moistened soil in a container with a drainage hole. Place the container in an area with bright light, and wait for signs of root growth (about two weeks) before watering the soil again.
