Bright, Festive Color for Your Winter Garden

In coastal California, we're lucky enough to be able to host cozy holiday gatherings outside. Put out some blankets, pour hot drinks, and enjoy your gorgeous year-round garden! Winter blooms and brightly colored foliage are all the festive decor you need, and we’ve got plenty of both at Flora Grubb Gardens in SF and Marina del Rey.

Our growing team at Grubb & Nadler in the Rainbow Valley is busy choosing all the best blooms from the fields—like Aloe 'Rooikappie' (above and below), bursting with little sunset-colored fireworks—and sending them up to FGG for your holiday shopping.

We're all going crazy for Grevillea 'Sandra Gordon' (above) a new hybrid with huge luminous yellow flowers. This beauty will bloom all winter long for you to enjoy!

Beloved customer and SF garden designer Dani Coulter (@msfancyplants, below) inspired us with her wagon haul when we were shooting these pics. She put together candy-striped Leucadendron 'Jester' (below right) with Grevillea 'Misty Pink' (below left) to make a luscious pair.

These two protea-family plants are perfect for drought-tolerant winter color—and grevillea foliage even has kind of a holiday evergreen vibe. Great for snipping to decorate your table!

Lots of leucadendons show their prettiest blushing faces and frosted tips in the wintertime. These plants are beautiful when they catch the golden winter light.

We can’t wait to see you and your loved ones for open-air garden shopping all winter long at our plant store in San Francisco. Come and choose your favorite plants for festive winter color!
